A smartphone ‘hack’ temporarily turns off the user’s phone when a certain code is texted to them.
The code will be given to Outward Bound alumni upon completing their course, which they can send to challenge their friends, who will continue to pass it on.
What begins as an exclusive group turns into a viral inconvenience, causing people to question their own smartphone dependence.

The purpose of social media is to see and share your experiences.
Outward Bound’s social accounts will take that aspect away. Because why should you be able to see what’s going on out there...
when you could be out there doing the real thing?

Most people try their hardest to not drop their precious phone.
With realistic pop up ads, we’ll put their survival instincts to the test.
OUT OF HOME
Hyper-realistic out of home ads will be placed on public sidewalks, urging those whose eyes are glued down at their phones to embrace the art of looking around them.

Limited edition GoPro cameras, designed with Outward Bound’s courses in mind, will be available for purchase. This will increase the scope of the campaign and further target adventure seekers.
